Things Not To DO
Don't go to Tybee Beach with your dog. Early on a cold, rainy winter morning I was given two $65 citations, one for each dog and now they've raised it to $200 per dog!
Don't pay $12.50 to see the ______ - _______ House. It's not worth it.
Don't leave a GPS system stuck to your windshield. In the last couple of years Savannah has cracked down on illegal drugs so criminals have turned to petty theft and something expensive left in a car may be too much of a temptation.
Don't pay $20 per person for a trolly tour
Unless you really want to buy one, do not let the people who make flowers out of palm fronds and sell in the parks hand you one of them. They won't take it back, but will try and force you into buy it through an old-fashioned guilt trip. I was a victim of the same trick in Rangoon, Burma and ended up with an ashtray made from an empty Budweiser can. Woo-hoo!
Don't stand in line at a restaurants where the fried chicken was rated by Savannahians below that of Kentucky Fried Chicken! Now that's a low bar. If you can't guess I'll tell you when you get here.

Don't get into a cab without determining a fair price with he driver. In town, it should be $5 or $6 at the most, as most everything is less than a mile and a half from the house.
