What to wear and when: 

Ladies, unless you're going to a big wedding you can leave the Gucci and Prada at home. Savannah tends to be rather casual and "better sportsware" is usually just fine. 

Guys, I don't know of any restaurants that require that men wear a jacket but you might be more comfortable wearing one in better restaurants.

Summers can be warm and humid so think comfort. In winter, a nice wool sweater will feel great. 

Many streets and sidewalks are old brick or cobble stone so for hundreds of years they've been twisting ankles! So if you want to look like a world traveler or a Savannhian just plan to wear good old walking shoes. 

It can rain like buckets without warning so every apartment has umbrellas for guests.
