Terms and Conditions: 

House Rules: 

1. I loose, break, stain and spill things, so please let me know if you do the same. 
2. If you find something missing, damaged or not working please let me know as soon as possible. 
3. Ceiling fans can reduce air conditioning costs by up to 40% so please use them. 
4. If you're going out for the day please adjust the thermostat accordingly and turn the lights off. 
5. Only those listed on the reservation confirmation may stay at the house. Guests are not allowed to have "overnight guests". 
6. Parties are not allowed unless otherwise agreed to. 
7. Please be very considerate and respectful of other guests, they deserve a great vacation too. 
8. Please use only the brown wash clothes for removing make-up. 
9. Guests are not to use the white bath towels to wash their cars. 
10. Guests should not rearrange the plants or furniture without permission. 
11. Guests should not water the plants. 
12. Please do not feed my dogs anything at anytime. A Great Dane with digestive problems in the middle of the night is a very BIG problem!

For reservations made after April 1st, 2010;

1. The smoking of anything at anytime is not allowed anywhere on the property.
2. Please do not stand in front of the house smoking. 
3. Please do not use empty bottles or cans as ashtrays and then leave them on the front steps.
4. If you must smoke please use your vehicle.

For reservations made prior to April 1st, 2010;

1. Please only smoke outside the house and leaving the front door open is not considered "outside".
2. Please don't smoke any illegal substance anywhere on the property.
3. Please don't flick cigarette butts into the front yard, backyard, garden or lane behind the house.
4. Please don't extinguish a cigarette and leave the butt in a potted plant.
5. Please don't leave empty beer bottles filled with wet cigarette butts on the front porch.

Dog Policy:

Despite how well behaved any dog is at home, being left in a strange place with strange noises and not knowing when Mom or Dad will return is often so stressful it results in clawing at doors, chewing pillows, rugs, furniture, howling and barking. 
Consequently all the rules below must be strictly adhered to by all guests.

1. Out of respect for other guests and all dogs, owners must have a cell phone with them and keep it turned on whenever they leave their dog unattended. If called they must come back to the house immediately and take care of their dog.
2. Cats, don't even ask, I'm allergic to them.
3. No more than two dogs are allowed in an apartment. 
4. Due to restrictions on my homeowner's insurance policy the following breeds or mixes with the following breeds are not allowed, Pit Bulls, Alaskan Malamutes, Rottweilers, Akitas, Chow Chows, American Staffordshire Terriers and Doberman Pinschers. There is no point in calling and yelling at me about this one, I'm not going to change insurance companies and they are not going to change their policies. (One guest appeared at the door hoping I would make an exception and they spent their vacation at a Motel 6 off the interstate.)
5. No puppies (dogs 9 months or younger) because they chew things. 
6. Dog owners must always pick up after their dogs; always as in night or day, rain or shine, big or small. 
7. In deference to guests with allergies, dogs are never allowed on the beds or furniture. If your pooch must cuddle on the sofa, ask and I have some old sheets.
8. Dogs are not to be left outside unattended at any time.

The Savannah Dog Park is only a short walk away and it's open from dawn to dusk. 

Payment:

When a reservation is confirmed by the guest they are responsible for the full cost of the reservation. We charge 25% of the total when the booking is made and the balance on the day of arrival. We only accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover credit cards, Travelers Checks and cash. All requests for adjustments or credits must be made in writing within 30 days or less of arrival at the Galloway House. After 30 days guests will be deemed to have accepted all credit card charges.

Cancellations:

On average our guests book 56 days prior to arrival so we can't rely last minute bookings to fill cancellations and as we do everything we can to keep our rates as low as possible, we do not offer a cancellation policy.

Re-Booking a Reservation: 

Reservations may be re-booked to a later date and are subject to the following, 

1. Requests to re-book must be made in writing and are subject to approval.
2. The new re-booking reservation can only be made 48 hours or less prior to new arrival date.
3. Re-bookings are subject to availability.
4. Re-bookings are subject to a 25% re-booking fee that will be charged to the guest along with the balance due on the date of the re-booking request. 

If you think your plans might change we suggest you buy trip insurance.

Conditions:

Due to the temperate climate and sandy soil bugs are very common in Savannah. While we regularly use insecticides that are safe for use around children and pets they are not 100% effective 100% of the time. On occasion a bug does get into the house through an open door, a window left open or even riding on a piece of luggage.

Guests agree to indemnify and save individual owners, Keith K. Galloway and his employees, free and harmless for any liabilities or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from, related to, or in any connection with the rental of the premises, including but not limited to, any claim or liability of personal injury or damage or loss of property which is incurred or sustained by a guest or guests of guest. 

Keith Galloway reserves the right to refuse or discontinue tenancy if, in his opinion, any guest displays inappropriate behavior. 
Guests will be responsible for any damages or theft. 

The Galloway House is not responsible for any items left behind or lost. 

The Galloway House is a privately owned home and it is not a public hotel.
